Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Maths graduate on behalf of a Trafford based secondary school.

This school wish to appoint a Maths graduate who is looking to gain further experience as a teaching assistant prior to beginning their teacher training in secondary education.

As part of Teaching Personnel's Future Teacher Programme, this is initially a 12 month Maths teaching assistant post, whereby upon completion you will have the opportunity to complete your teacher training the following year, meaning a clear career pathway is available.

***Applicants are required to hold a degree in Maths and be an aspiring secondary Maths teacher. Previous or transferable experience working or volunteering within education desirable but not essential***

  • Full time Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant - September 2019
  • 12 month teaching assistant role with the opportunity to begin your teacher training course the following year
  • Outstanding secondary school and National Teaching Secondary
  • Pay of up to £1200 per month

As a Maths graduate teaching assistant, you will be responsible for being a positive learning mentor for pupils, helping the class teacher with a range of lessons and supporting pupils with Maths intervention sessions in smaller groups or on a 1-1 basis, in preparation for the summer examinations. You will also have the opportunity to gain experience leading full Maths classes with the guidance of teaching staff.

The successful applicants for this Maths teaching assistant role will gain a range of teaching assistant experience in a reputable secondary school and will also have the opportunity to continue their teaching training practice with this school in September 2020.

As a Maths teaching assistant you will be joining a vibrant and dedicated support team making it the ideal place to gain experience. Located in Trafford and caters for approximately 1500 pupils, including a thriving Sixth Form that has a proven record of academic excellence. The school continues to be one of the most successful, popular and over-subscribed schools in Trafford.

Applicants must be able to commit to the programme on a full time basis (Monday - Friday, 8.15am - 3.00pm) from September 2019 until July 2020.
