We are seeking a passionate and driven Curriculum Leader for Maths to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for a subject specialist who is committed to delivering high-quality, mastery-based mathematics education and is ready to take on a leadership role.
We are a school that places a strong emphasis on disruption-free learning for both students and staff. Our mission is simple: teachers teach, and students learn. We are focused on removing unnecessary tasks so that our educators can concentrate on what matters most—planning, teaching, and assessing.
Our students are motivated, curious, and eager to be challenged in their learning. They respond well to teachers who are enthusiastic about their subject and strive for excellence in the classroom. We are looking for someone who shares these values and brings energy and leadership to our Maths department.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Lead the development of a world-class, mastery-focused Maths curriculum
-
Guide and support the Maths team in effective curriculum design, instructional practices, and assessment strategies
-
Stay informed about current research and innovations in mathematics education and embed best practices into teaching
-
Use performance data to identify areas for development and implement strategies to raise achievement
-
Select high-quality resources, textbooks, and teaching tools to enhance learning
-
Support the recruitment, mentoring, and ongoing professional development of Maths staff
-
Foster a departmental culture built on high expectations, support, and shared planning time
What We’re Looking For:
-
A degree in Maths or a related discipline
-
Strong understanding of mastery teaching and the national curriculum for Maths
-
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
-
A proactive approach to professional learning and departmental improvement
-
Passion for Maths and a commitment to inspiring students through subject knowledge and challenge
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a subject team in a school committed to professional growth, student success, and a culture of high expectations.
If you are ready to take on a rewarding leadership role and shape the future of Maths education in a supportive environment, we would love to hear from you.
