Job Description:

As a Numeracy Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting our educators in delivering high-quality math instruction and supporting students in developing essential numeracy skills. Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help with math concepts and problem-solving.

- Assisting in the planning and implementation of numeracy activities and interventions to reinforce classroom learning.

- Using a variety of instructional techniques and resources to engage students and cater to diverse learning styles.

- Collaborating with classroom teachers to assess student progress and identify areas for improvement.

- Promoting a positive and encouraging learning environment that fosters students' confidence and enthusiasm for math.

 

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

- A passion for working with children and helping them succeed academically.

- Strong numeracy skills and a solid understanding of math concepts across different grade levels.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.

- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students facing challenges in math.

- Previous experience working in an educational setting or as a teaching assistant is desirable but not essential.
