Are you an experienced in supporting autism?

Are you based in Twickenham?

Do you have experience using Makaton?

The Role:

  • Working 1:1 with an ASC pupil (with additional sensory needs)
  • Providing an engaging and stimulating learning environment
  • Writing up weekly repots on the pupils progress

The School:

This primary school supports children with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, some of whom also have an additional diagnosis of autism. Children's ages range from 3 to 11 years old and there are currently 140 pupils on roll across both of our sites

All pupils should experience a total communication environment. From touch cues, sensory cues, Intensive Interaction to Makaton signs, PECS, symbols and switches to verbal speech. All staff will use appropriate communication strategies that are relevant for individual pupils giving the opportunity to develop their confidence and skills to express themselves.

The Requirements:

  • Experience with ASC
  • Experience with Makaton, PECS
