Liverpool Primary School - KS2 Teacher required - September

Job description

A school, in the St Helens area of Merseyside have approached the Teaching Personnel Primary Branch, in order to shortlist and appoint an experienced KS2 Class Teacher. The Head teacher is keen to appoint ready for the start of the new academic year (September 2019) and will look to payroll the successful applicant on a temporary supply basis until at least February 2020, with the possibility of being offered the role on a permanent basis, pending a successful interview with the school governors.

The specification is as follows:

  • Qualified Teacher Status is a requirement
  • Newly & Fully qualified Teachers are welcome to apply.
  • Practitioners who have experience in KS2 and recent references to support their last 18 months at least.
  • Full time working hours- Based on 6.5 hours per day.
  • Experience working with 'challenging' behaviour and children from socially deprived backgrounds.

The school is a Christian school and so it is important that you respect and uphold the Christian ethos in school. The school does have an improving outlook and is hoping to gain a GOOD Ofsted inspection. With the Christian faith, the school are regularly checked by SIAMs and so it is important that you have a strong understanding of the beliefs and religious backgrounds of the children attending school, but also be able to provide a varied RE Curriculum.
