About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and confident Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a friendly and supportive nursery team based in Brentwood. This is a full-time position with both permanent and temp-to-perm options available, depending on your preference and suitability.

You will play a vital role in supporting the early years development of children, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and caring environment where they can thrive and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging, and creative activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Monitor and support the progress and development of children in your care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date observations, assessments, and reports.
• Build strong, effective communication and partnerships with parents/carers, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and daily experiences.
• Promote and maintain health and safety, safeguarding, and hygiene standards.
• Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure high-quality care and education.
• Be confident managing key person responsibilities, including planning next steps for children's learning.
• Support children's personal, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Follow nursery policies and procedures to ensure consistent standards are upheld.

Requirements:

• A Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Previous nursery or early years setting experience (essential).
• Sound understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Confident with all duties associated with the role, including planning, observations, and liaising with parents.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A genuine passion for working with children and helping them develop.
• DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one).
