Do you have experience working with SEN and Learning Difficulties?

Are you looking to use your skills and experience in a school environment?

I'm currently working exclusively with a Primary Special Education Needs School in Thornhill Southampton that are currently looking for staff to start in as soon as the school re-opens. The school cater for primary pupils, all of which will have an Education Health Care Plan. The pupils at the school have a variety needs such as:

  • Autism (ASC/ASD)
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Physical Disability (PD)
  • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
  • Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)
  • Hearing Impaired (HI)
  • Visually Impaired (VI)
  • ADHD
  • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)

The majority of the current vacancies are for full time long term temporary or permanent positions supporting pupils in small groups or 1:1. The ideal candidate would have previous experience working with similar needs or be passionate about working in this type of school. Candidates that are suited for this type of school tend to have experience in some of the following:

  • Youth/Community work experience
  • Personal experience looking after someone with SEN
  • SEN experience
  • Residential support/care worker
  • Psychology
  • Nursery experience
  • Medical/Nurse experience 
  • Health Care experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
