Job description
Learning Support Assistant – Flexible Supply Work (1–5 Days Per Week)
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work within specialist schools across Southampton.
We are looking for caring, resilient and adaptable individuals who are passionate about supporting vulnerable children and young people with additional needs.
Our partner schools cater for pupils with:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Speech and Language difficulties
- SEMH needs
- Complex learning difficulties
- Medical needs
This role is ideal for somebody looking for flexible work, whether you are available 1 day per week or full-time.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis
- Encouraging engagement and emotional regulation
- Assisting with learning activities tailored to individual needs
- Helping to create a safe and positive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals preferred
- Patient, empathetic and reliable nature
- Ability to build positive relationships
- Comfortable working within specialist settings
Pay:
£14.25 per hour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
