Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a caring and patient Teaching Assistant for our partner school, a state-of-the-art secondary special school in Trafford. The position will be working with statemented pupils and students from the age of 11-19, with a range of complex needs on a daily basis. The role will involve working closely with the class teacher and support staff to provide creative and innovative approaches to learning. The curriculum provides students with opportunities to enhance life opportunities, using ICT rooms, recording studios and bright, attractive classrooms to fully allow pupils to explore their talents.

The Ofsted recognised ‘Outstanding’ school are seeking someone who can provide a stimulating, creative environment for all students to achieve their maximum potential. The ideal candidate will also be able to work confidently and communicate effectively with other staff within the school.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working with a child or children on the autistic continuum or a range of complex SEN
• Adaptive to changing situations and able to respond effectively to crisis situations.
• Experience within a SEN school (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
