Learning Support Assistant

SEPTEMBER ROLE- Learning mentor at a GOOD Primary school in Bradford  (BD5)

A 2 form entry Primary school we work closely with at Teaching Personnel are looking for a full-time Learning Mentor to work with all year groups on a whole class support basis. This role will require delivering intervention with small groups of pupils from EYFS - Year 6 and also supporting various pupils on a 1-2-1 basis to help raise pupil attainment across the Primary age range in; Reading, Writing and Maths. This is a versatile and fulfilling role and will be starting in the new academic year in September 2020.  

This school is a GOOD school by Ofsted with lots of opportunities for Learning mentors to progress into future teachers. Candidates applying for this role must have a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification or, and educational based degree.

Teaching Personnel works closely with Leeds Trinity University which provides our candidates with the knowledge and skills they need to develop both personally and professionally as a teaching assistant. • Candidates must have a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification or, an Educational based degree
• Candidates must be available school hours (8:30 - 3:30)
• Candidates must have previous experience supporting children in a professional capacity in the last 12 months
• Candidates must have a positive attitude and have experience working with young people in a Primary school education environment
• Candidates must be enthusiastic and confident when working with primary school aged children of all levels and abilities
• Candidates need to be open to trial days and providing one-to-one support for pupils of lower abilities or pupils with SEN
• Candidates must have an up to date CV and 2 references which are educational based

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
