Do you have experience and confidence supporting young male students with Autism and behavioural difficulties?

Are you eager to make a real difference in the lives of young men with special needs, develop professionally and work in a friendly and welcoming environment?

We have a fantastic opportunity for confident support workers and learning support assistants looking for a rewarding new role. A special needs school in Leicestershire for students aged 7 - 19 with severe learning difficulties (SLD) , complex needs and speech and language disorders are looking to appoint additional staff immediately.

The school offers successful applicants a warm and welcoming school staff team, open discussion on sharing skills and ideas alongside continuous career development and progression with specialist training.

With a wide range of ages in the school experience supporting both male students and adults with severe learning difficulties and complex needs is highly beneficial. Ideally, experience is vital however, this can be either voluntary or paid and those with genuine passion and enthusiasm to support special needs will also be considered.

Role:

  • Location - Leicestershire
  • Responsibilities - 1:1 and small group educational, social and developmental support of students with complex learning needs, severe learning difficulties and speech disorders
  • Additional responsibilities - personal care or moving and handling support
