Learning Support Assistant – Flexible Hours (Southampton)

Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and making a positive impact in the classroom? Teaching Personnel is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to work flexibly across a range of Southampton primary schools.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils who need additional help

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

  • Help create a positive learning environment where every child can thrive

  • Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN), learning difficulties, or social/emotional needs

  • Work flexible hours that fit around your schedule – ideal for students, parents, or anyone seeking part-time work

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children (school-based or similar) – desirable but not essential

  • A positive, patient, and nurturing approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Reliability and willingness to adapt to different school environments

  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
