Pay: £13.75 per hour
Hours: Full-time or Part-time

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Southampton area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help pupils access the curriculum.

  • Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment.

  • Use patience, empathy, and creativity to encourage positive learning experiences.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people (school, care, SEN, or similar settings).

  • A genuine passion for supporting learners with additional needs.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to start ASAP.

  • Reliability and a positive, proactive attitude.
