Learning Support Assistant – Southampton
£13.75 per hour | Term-Time Only | Part-Time or Full-Time

Are you passionate about helping young people succeed? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join welcoming and supportive schools across Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to make a real impact in the classroom.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to aid their learning and development.

  • Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.

  • Help pupils with special educational needs (SEN) to access the curriculum.

  • Encourage engagement, independence, and confidence in pupils.

  • Provide general classroom support and ensure the safety and wellbeing of students.

What We’re Looking For

  • Enthusiastic, caring, and patient individuals.

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.

  • Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.

  • Reliability and a proactive approach to working in a school setting.

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
