 Learning Support Assistant – SEN Primary School (Southampton) 
Pay: £13.75 per hour

About the Role:
We are seeking a caring and committed Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming SEN primary school in Southampton. In this role, you will work closely with pupils who may have a range of additional needs, providing tailored support to help them engage, progress and thrive in the classroom.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Providing 1:1 or small-group support to children with diverse SEN needs

  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging, accessible learning activities

  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, communication and social skills

  • Creating a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment

  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children (SEN experience beneficial but not essential)

  • A patient, compassionate and proactive approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting young learners

  • Ability to commit to flexible working hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
