Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school based in Macclesfield who are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to start in January. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is considering a career in teaching but wanting to gain further experience within a mainstream primary school.

About the role:

• Start-date: 5^th January
• Ongoing/long-term role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be based within the schools KS2 department supporting across Years 3-6. This may involve 1-1 or small group intervention with students who require additional learning support. You may also be required to support in general lessons and prepare resources when necessary. Additionally, you will participate in the wider school community, contributing to assemblies and extra-curricular activities.

What we’re looking for:

• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
• Experience working with young people (in any setting)
• Calm, empathetic and patient approach to behaviour management
• A genuine passion for working with young people and improving their learning journey
