1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Warrington (WA5)
Start Date: After October half-term
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary (with potential to become permanent)

A supportive and inclusive primary school in Warrington (WA5) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team after October half-term. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by providing tailored support to a pupil with additional learning needs, helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally.
Role Overview:
- Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs, ensuring their individual learning and care needs are met.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions and adapt learning activities.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour through consistent support and praise.
- Monitor progress and contribute to reviews and individual education plans (IEPs).
- Promote inclusion and ensure the pupil can fully access the school curriculum and wider activities.
- Build a trusting relationship that supports the pupil’s wellbeing and development.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly autism, ADHD, or communication needs (desirable).
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or relevant experience).
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach with a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
