Learning Support Assistant – Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Location: Bognor Regis
Term-Time Only
Salary: £13.75
Start Date: September 2025

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our dedicated team in Bognor Regis. This role involves working closely with pupils with a range of additional needs, providing support both in and out of the classroom to help them achieve their full potential.
About the Role:
You will play a vital role in supporting children with a variety of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Working closely with teachers, the SENCO and other professionals, you’ll help ensure pupils feel supported, understood and engaged in their learning.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN
-
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
-
Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour
-
Assist with personal care, emotional regulation, or communication (where required)
-
Work collaboratively with staff and external specialists
What We’re Looking For:
-
A nurturing and patient individual with a genuine interest in supporting children with SEN
-
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided
-
Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
-
A flexible approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure
-
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN support) are an advantage

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
