Learning Support Assistant for challenging behaviour

The Head Teacher of an SEND provision is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work with children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties on a full time basis.

The role will involve working with a small class of 8-10 pupils across Key Stage 2 and 3, the students are vulnerable children in need of extra support and guidance across their lessons. The main element of the role will be helping the students to engage with their learning, and encouraging personal and social development whilst managing challenging behaviour in lesson time to maximise learning. You will be expected to work collaboratively with other members of staff to manage and track pupil's behaviour and learning. You will be supporting students who may display behaviour such as social anxiety or ADHD which can be extremely challenging.

Ideally, the candidate will have experience working with social, emotional and mental health difficulties and challenging behaviour.
