Learning Mentor

Do you experience working with young people with challenging behaviour? Or are you experienced in offering support to individuals with offering Social Emotional Mental needs?

Teaching Personnel have recently been approached by a client secondary school, located in the Stockport area of Manchester, in order to recruit a Learning Mentor to join the schools pastoral team. This Learning Mentor vacancy is for a full time, on going position, starting after October half term. The school are looking for introduction for a Learning Mentor through Teaching Personnel, with the opportunity of a school based contract for the successful Learning Mentor. The Manchester school is seeking a Learning Mentor who will be able to build rapport with their pupils, and take an empathetic approach to the role.

The secondary school is located in the Stockport area of Manchester, South of the city centre. The school is set in a rural Manchester suburb, and is surrounded by leafy and pleasant grounds. The school is easily accessible by car, a 10 minute drive from Manchester outer ring road. The school is also easily accessible by public transport, with direct links from Manchester city centre. The school has a large pastoral team, which is greatly supportive of both fellow staff and the pupils. The school recognises the importance of pastoral support in the running of an outstanding educational environment, and the wellbeing of their pupils is vital to a successful and positive education.
