Lead Practitioner – Inclusion Provision (Full Time)
Southampton, Hampshire
Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner for the right candidate)

Teaching Personnel are proud to be working in partnership with a supportive and forward-thinking secondary setting to recruit an experienced and dedicated Lead Practitioner for an In-School Inclusion Provision.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding practitioner with a passion for inclusive education to take a leading role in supporting students who require additional behavioural, emotional, or academic support. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping provision, raising standards, and ensuring all students can access a high-quality education.
The role involves leading a specialist inclusion provision within the school, working closely with senior leaders, pastoral teams, and teaching staff to deliver targeted support and interventions. You will be instrumental in promoting positive behaviours, improving engagement, and removing barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop an in-school inclusion provision to support students with additional needs
- Deliver high-quality teaching and targeted interventions within the provision
- Support students with behavioural, emotional, and social challenges to re-engage with learning
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement inclusive strategies in the classroom
- Monitor and track student progress, ensuring impactful interventions
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues on inclusive teaching and behaviour strategies
- Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student outcomes
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven track record of outstanding classroom practice
- Strong experience supporting students with additional needs, including SEMH and SEND
- A passion for inclusive education and improving outcomes for all learners
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead, inspire, and support both students and colleagues
- A proactive, reflective, and solution-focused approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
