Maths Teacher – KS3 & KS4
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Start date: ASAP
A Secondary School located in Southampton is seeking a passionate Maths Teacher to join their team! This is initially a long-term temporary position, with strong opportunities to roll over to a permanent position!
This opportunity is well suited to Early Career Teachers wishing to gain further experience or experienced teachers seeking a new dynamic role!
The Role
A Maths specialist who:
- Delivers engaging, challenging and inspiring Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Maths
- Creates a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment
- Is committed to raising achievement and supporting every learner
- Contributes to curriculum development, enrichment, and wider school life
- Works collaboratively with colleagues as part of a supportive and ambitious Maths department
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Enhanced Child Only DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Confident and adaptable in the classroom
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students
- Genuine enthusiasm for educating young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
