LAC Tutors - immediate start - Oldham

Part-time positions for a Specialist Tutors to tutor basic skills English and Maths. Part- time tutors positions commencing immediately. There are both long term and short term roles available dependent on your individual circumstances.

Tuition could take place in the young person's home, their residential care home, or an agreed public venue. The young people may have a variety of Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties, and could display challenging behaviour and have barriers to their learning. They could be extremely disengaged with education, and working at much lower levels than expected. Experience with young people of this nature would be beneficial - you must be able to build trust and rapport easily and be able to tap into what motivates them, as well as having the subject knowledge.

Each referral is usually for 8-10 hours per week, and you can take on as few or as many as you wish!

To be considered for this role you must have:

• Qualified Teacher Status or significant tutoring experience
• A passion for supporting pupils with significant difficulties
• Be readily available
• have a fully enhanced Child DBS
