We are seeking experienced and passionate Early Years Practitioners to work in nurseries across the Coventry and Warwickshire area. This is a new opportunity for Early Years educators to develop their skills and bring their passion to support the development of children during their most determinative years.

If you are experienced in Early Years Education and committed to encouraging learning, independence and creativity in a supportive and welcoming environment, we would love to hear from you!

Job Duties:

Nurseries across Coventry and Warwickshire are looking to appoint dedicated Early Years Practitioners to bring innovation, motivation, and skill to their teams. Supporting children aged 0-5, you will help to facilitate play-based and structured learning whilst meeting emotional and physical care needs.

As a L2 Early Years Practitioner at our friendly nursery in Coventry, you will be responsible for providing personal care to children, planning and delivering age-appropriate activities, and assessing their development progress. You will create a nurturing environment following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or higher Early Years Qualification
  • Paediatric First Aid Qualification
  • Enhanced Child's DBS Certificate (or willingness to apply)

Experience:

Prior experience working with young children in an Early Years setting is necessary.

Role Specifications:

  • Experience in following Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines
  • Ability to adapt and deliver age appropriate engaging activities
  • Observe and assess children's development, recognising and reporting key progress to senior staff and parents/ carers
  • Assisting with personal care routines - including feeding, toileting and hygeine
  • Work collaboratively with a team of Early Years professionals to support individual children's development and wellbeing
  • You may be supporting children with a range of SEN or EAL pupils so confidence working with complex SEN would be beneficial

Working Conditions:

You will work in a vibrant and supportive nursery environment in Coventry. The role may involve some physical activity and requires flexibility in working hours to accommodate the needs of the children and their families.

  • At Teaching Personnel, we offer both short-term and long-term positions, ranging from a single term to a full academic year.
  • You will receive full safeguarding training free of charge and access to ongoing CPD accredited courses

Nurseries particularly value staffing to be consistent and familiar, providing reliable support, building trust and rapport for young learners. Therefore, this position is best suited to educators looking for long-term stability.

If you're ready to take the next step in your Early Years career and make a genuine impact in education, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today with your up-to-date CV or get in touch with Alex on 0121 252 1100 or email alexandra.fitzgerald@teachingpersonnel.com for more details.
