Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a specialist SEN school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for a KS3 SEN Teacher to start in September. The school are looking for someone with a strong background in SEN and a genuine passion for providing an inclusive learning environment.

About the role:

  • Start- date: September
  • Ongoing/long-term role
  • Full-time

As an SEN Teacher you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons across a range of subjects, tailored to meet the needs of students with a range of special educational needs. Working closely with support staff, external professionals, and parents, you will help create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure that every student receives the support they need to thrive. You'll play a key role in creating an inclusive and positive classroom environment, monitoring progress, and adapting your approach to help students overcome barriers to learning.

What we’re looking for:

  • QTS with experience teaching SEN students at KS3 level
  • Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and relevant safeguarding legislation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy and a passion for working with children with diverse needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
