KS3/4 SEN Functional Skills Teacher - Middlesbrough

We are looking for a qualified functional skills teacher for Key Stages 3 and 4 in an SEND provision in Middlesbrough. The position will commence immediately, earning up to £600 per week on a temporary basis, there is potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate. The candidate should have at least six months teaching experience and ideally experience working with SEN either in an educational or non educational environment.

The role will involve working with several small classes across Key Stage 3 and 4 teaching Functional Skills and preparing students for life after education. You will be working with SEN students with SEMH, SLD and ASC, qualifications such as Team Teach are desirable but not compulsory.

The ideal candidate will have:

- At least six months SEND experience

- Broad curriculum knowledge

- Qualified Teacher Status

- Excellent behaviour management skills

- A patient and caring attitude
