English Intervention specialist

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint an English specialist to run Literacy Interventions for the new in take of pupils. You will also be in charge of KS3/4 English Intervention; therefore you must have previous experience.

Teaching Personnel are working with a smaller than average secondary school, based in Preston. The school has recently appointed a new Head teacher that has sharp focus on high expectations and is looking for a passionate and experienced Teacher of English to provide 1:1 and small group intervention sessions. Some responsibilities include; assisting the Head of English in long-term of English curriculum at KS3, managing tracking systems in English and manage pupil behaviour; inside and outside of the classroom.

To be considered for this role you MUST:

  • Obtain a Degree and hold Qualified Teacher Status
  • A right to work in the UK
  • Experience of curriculum development

The position is part time, initially and is to start from the end of September.
