Year 5 Teacher – September Start
Location: Old Trafford
Full-Time | 8:30am–3:30pm | Maternity Cover

Our partnering primary school in the heart of Old Trafford is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join their warm, welcoming team from September. This full-time maternity cover role offers the chance to work in a friendly, supportive environment where staff and pupils alike thrive within a caring community.

As the Year 5 class teacher, you will take full responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities. You will be expected to produce creative and well-structured plans that align with the national curriculum, ensuring pupils are both challenged and supported throughout the academic year. Regular marking, feedback, and assessment will form a key part of the role, helping to track progress and guide pupils toward their individual goals.

You will work closely with the wider KS2 team, contributing to curriculum development and attending meetings and training sessions as required. The school fosters a collaborative culture where staff share ideas and support one another, making it an excellent setting for a passionate teacher who values teamwork and professional growth. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues are essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or a confident ECT looking to deepen their classroom experience in a nurturing school or a FQT looking to take on a new challenge. If you’re committed to providing high‑quality teaching and creating a positive learning environment where every child can succeed, we would love to hear from you.
