KS2 Primary School Teacher

Location: Edgware

Start Date: February 2018

Contract type: 1yr fixed term

Contract term: Permanent

Salary: M1 - M2 (Outer London)

A reputable primary school in Edgware is currently looking for a Year 4 Class Teacher who will be able to start after February half term. In their last Ofsted review they were rewarded Good; aligned with their last OFSTED inspection. Due to the location of the school, students come from both high and low socio economic backgrounds and therefore offer a variety of learning abilities. The school is a large three form entry and is partnered with a nursery school to provide stability to all students with a focus on developing character. All classrooms are equipped with modern equipment and the children have access to a large library which is stocked termly with new recourses.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has previous experience teaching a KS2 class. For the entire academic year you will be responsible for preparing pupils to take SATS at the end of year 6. Additionally, you should be able to identify pupils in your class who need additional support in which will the be supported by a class teaching assistant.

The school gives all teachers opportunities to adapt the national curriculum in a teaching style that adheres to the learning abilities within the class. By actively accessing the needs of the class, you will be able to deliver lessons that are adaptive to all learning abilities within the class. Additionally you will be responsible for proving a safe and encouraging environment where students are actively encouraged to succeed and develop character. The school boasts a friendly and energetic school environment where both staff and students benefit from regular training sessions and extra curricular activities.

  • Qualified Teaching Status
  • Currently completing PGCE
  • Passionate about Teaching
  • Possess a Valid DBS certificate
  • Interested in teaching KS1

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
