KS2 Class Teacher in Blackburn

Do you have Primary QTS? Are you a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) looking for your first teaching position, or are you a fully-inducted teacher seeking a new and exciting role for the next academic year?

If you answered 'YES' to any of the questions above, and you have recent UK-based teaching experience with Key Stage 2 pupils, we want to hear from you!

A small, Blackburn primary school are looking to appoint a passionate and engaging class teacher to fill an upcoming vacancy in a Key Stage 2 class from October half-term. The children of this happy, lively and welcoming school are at the heart of what they do. Almost all pupils are from ethnic minority backgrounds and a high number join the school community from areas overseas. The school aim to ensure everyone, including pupils, staff and families, feel valued and strive for each and every individual to reach their full potential with a smile on their face! They hope to find an education professional who shares these values and promotes them consistently within their practice.

This new teaching vacancy is ideal if you are looking for work that is rewarding and will enable you to make a difference in the lives of young children. You will be responsible for planning, teaching and assessing a class of Key Stage 2 pupils, in accordance with the school's curriculum and the national expectations for the year group. Consequently, recent teaching experience in Key Stage 2 is necessary. A high proportion of pupils speak English as an additional language; therefore, knowledge of strategies for enabling children with EAL to access the curriculum and to reach their full potential is essential, as is a commitment to providing an inclusive learning environment, which caters for the needs of all pupils and enables every child to succeed.

  • Blackburn-based primary school
  • Available from October half-term start until Summer 2020
  • Key Stage 2 Class Teacher post
  • NQTs and fully-inducted teachers are welcome to apply
  • Teaching experience in Key Stage 2 required
  • Competitive rates of pay (dependent upon experience)
