Overview of the Role

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a 1 form entry Primary School in the Heart of Skelmersdale (WN8), the school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work alongside their Year 2 Teacher to provide specialist to small groups. This school are looking to secure a Teaching Assistant to start in school ASAP. This role will be 30 hours per week working from 8:45-3:15. This role will be for the entire academic year with the potential for a permanent contract from September 2019. The school are looking for an practitioner who has experience working alongside younger children, you do not have to have had experience in a school setting, however experience working with young children is essential. Despite being a mainstream Primary School, experience working alongside children with additional needs is advantageous due to their high SEN intake.

"We are a welcoming school with a strong Christian Ethos and a close-knit team. I am currently in search of a motivating Year 2 Teaching Assistant to come and work alongside one of our fantastic KS1 teachers. The successful applicant must be experienced and able to think on their feet. The staff at our school are supportive and work closely together to create best practice; we are looking for someone who is able to contribute to that. This is a new role therefore there may be the opportunity for a permanent contract at the end of the academic year."

I personally work with Primary Schools across Preston, Chorley, Leyland, Skelmersdale and Ormskirk. We are able to offer a number of CPD Opportunities to Teachers that register with us and we are interested in constantly up-skilling Teachers that are registered with us. CPD courses include; Team Teach, Autism Awareness, PREVENT DUTY and Safeguarding and Child Protection Level 1 and 2.
