KS1 Teaching Assistant - Full time - Trafford

Teaching Personnel are working with a Primary School in Trafford to help with the recruitment of a KS1 Teaching Assistant to work in Year 1. The Primary school is situated in Altrincham, WA15. The role is to being as soon as possible and is to be on a full time basis until the end of the academic year. There will be the option to be taken onto a school based contract for the next academic year should all go well.

The school is looking for an experience and enthusiastic individual that can work well within a team environment. This school is a very homely school with most of the teachers having been in the school for 10+ so there is a lot of stability within the school as well as having a Head Teacher with over 15 years experience.

The school is working at a "good" standard from their latest OFSTED report and has maintained this standard for a number of years. There is excellent behaviour throughout the school in both Key stages so anyone who fills the role will be welcomed by both staff and pupils.

The role will involve offering general support for the year 1 class across all activities and may involve some small group work with around 4/5 pupils at a time for all different subjects such as Maths, English and Writing and phonics. It is essentially that the candidate be comfortable and have previous experience with delivering KS1 interventions
