Are you a Key Stage 1 Teacher looking for a new challenge? Do you uphold high standards of teaching and learning, with a passion for seeing your KS1 class excel and achieve? We are working with a rural school near Bridlington who will require a Key Stage 1 Teacher to start this term, ready for when schools reopen.
We are looking for individuals with experience in raising standards or the exceptional ability to teach to a high standard. The School are currently striving to improve standards of teaching and learning and as such would love to compliment their team with someone who will work in partnership with this goal.
The ideal teacher will have strong behaviour management skills, strong skills in assessment and planning for progression, a passion for excelling on expectations and a willingness to be a part of positive change. The preferred teacher will have experience working in a key stage one setting and preferably have experience in leading KS1 SAT's preparation and boosters. Previous experience of Phonics boosters and raising attainment will be desirable.
The role will be full time in line with School opening hours, from 8.30am until 3.30pm with additional hours as required for meetings, parent evenings and other school functions. Roles and responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Plan and prepare lessons in line with guidance set out by the School
- Use approaches to teaching and learning that fully meet the needs the class, ensuring the needs of each individual are met according to their potential and ability, using good nurturing and behaviour management principals
- Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils, providing feedback that contributes towards pupils’ educational development
- Communicate and consult with the parents of pupils about progress
