KS1/2 PMLD Teaching Assistant - Middlesbrough

Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist school in (DL8) to recruit a full time Teaching Assistant to work with students with PMLD on a temporary basis; although there is strong potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate. The role will commence ASAP and will involve working with a small class of students across Key Stage 1 and 2 with profound learning difficulties of varying natures.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard working Teaching Assistant, who is willing to be part of a lovely team of staff, who's main goal is to improve the lives of young people with PMLD. A Moving and Handling qualification is extremely beneficial for this role, and there is a large element of personal care involved. Because of the nature of this role, care work and other relevant experience will be strongly considered for this application.

The ideal candidate will have:

-At least three months experience in an SEND or care environment

- Excellent behaviour management skills

- A patient, nurturing and caring attitude
