Key Stage 2 Teacher - PRESTON

  • Experience Teaching the National Curriculum to pupils across KS2 is essential.
  • Applicants must hold UK QTS.
  • Must have a proven track record of raising attainment within the classroom.
  • FULL TIME CLASS TEACHING ROLE.

The Headteacher of a reputable Catholic Primary School in Preston is looking to secure a Year 4 Class Teacher to begin in school on a full time basis from 28th October 2019. This role is to cover maternity leave and will continue for the remainder of the academic year (until July 2020).

**Experience of working within a Catholic Primary School would be advantageous, but not essential.

This one form entry Primary School serves a pleasant catchment area and behaviour in school is exemplary. Senior Leaders are well respected by staff and pupils and the school is generally oversubscribed with supportive parents. Due to the reputation of the school and staff, there are high expectations in place, therefore a proven track record of raising attainment in the classroom is essential and candidates interested in this role must be able to provide contact details for two school based references.

The current Year 4 Class (who have just returned to school this week), are made up of 30 pupils who are eager to learn! The majority of pupils in class are working 'At' or 'Exceeding' age related expectations, therefore pupils need nothing less than an ENGAGING AND INSPIRING class teacher! You will also have the support of a Teaching Assistant who should be utilised to deliver effective Maths and English interventions.

The Headteacher is looking to short list for this role no later than Monday 9th September 2019. Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £100-£130 per day (varies depending on experience)
