Are you interested in working with students with SEND? Do you have relevant experience or an interest in working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other Learning Difficulties? A large, well-suported Primary school in Wakefield is urgently looking for multiple special educational needs teaching assistants to work alongside the teaching staff to provide both 1:1 and more general support to the students.

£65-85 per day
Immediate starts available

Requirements:

  • A patient and understanding mentality
  • An interest in working with students with SEN
  • A flexible and proactive approach
  • Experience supporting students in both and individual and a group manner
  • Existing DBS check on the update service
  • Existing experience working with children or adults with SEND


Responsibilities:

  • Assist and support with the development and learning of students within the school
  • Provide 1:1 and general support to students according to requirements for the day
  • Work alongside other teaching and support staff to ensure a safe and productive work environment is maintained
  • Be responsible for ensuring school policies are upheld including behavior policies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
