Key stage 1 teaching assistant with SEN or SEMH experience needed for primary school based in the Bury (M26) area.

  • Roman Catholic primary school looking for a key stage 1 teaching assistant
  • SEN and SEMH experience is essential
  • Full time contact starting on September 2018
  • Salary ranging from £14000 - £18000
  • Bury (M26)

Do you have experience working with key stage 1 children with SEN and SEMH issues?

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a school based in Bury (M26) looking for a Key Stage 1 teaching assistant who has previous experience working with children with SEN and SEMH issues. The role would be starting in September 2018 with the possibility of moving onto a permanent contract.

My client is looking for a confident and highly skilled teaching assistant to run small groups and 1:1 sessions with children with Special educational needs within the main stream school. If you want to make a difference working with children who struggle in class room settings, this could be the perfect role for you.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous SEN or SEMH experience
  • Good knowledge of the KS1 national curriculum
  • A flexible and creative approach to learning
  • Experience utilising SEN and behavioural strategies for structured learning

This primary school based in Bury is larger than average and has been rated 'GOOD' by a recent Ofsted inspection. It has an excellent relationship with the local community and works closely with parents to create an inclusive environment for the children to learn.

The head teacher is looking to shortlist this week with trials the following week.
