A client school of Teaching Personnel need an intervention teacher on a part-time basis over the Autumn Term 2020.

This particular school is in Horsforth and they are looking for a Fully Qualified Teacher who can help raise pupil attainment across KS1, particularly in Phonics and for KS1 SATs. The school are looking for a new teacher who has recent experience in KS1 and who is interested in running new initiatives to help pupils progress to their maximum potential. This may involve delivering other Interventions such as; Literacy, Numeracy and Behaviour.

This extra intervention work is primarily needed in the areas of Phonics and KS1 SATs. The school use the Jolly Phonics programme, and any experience with this programme as well as administering Phonics screening tests in the past would therefore go a long way. Additionally, any experience in the preparation for KS1 SATs across the core areas of Reading, Writing and Maths would help reassure the school that the chosen candidate can be trusted to boost attainment in these areas. The hope from the school's perspective is that this ectra work will help account for the crucial time lost due to COVID, and will help avoid a slump in results for this year's cohort. 

The school want someone with experience of teaching across KS1, and can come into school 3.5 days a week over the entire autumn term. In this time, you must be flexible to work across KS1 where required, depending on who needs the most focused work. This may involve taking 1-2-1 interventions or boosters of up to 10 people.

This role will potentially if you are looking for work as an intervention teacher then this is undoubtedly a fantastic opportunity. The role could potentially be extended past the Christmas holidays depending on the capacity in the school, and the effectiveness of this work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
