There are many schools in North-west London looking for eager new ICT & Computer Science teachers to join their team in September. This specific school is on a small sight, but has fantastic facilities with a new Arts building built in the last 5 years. The school has more facilities and space than appears and has a blend of historic and modern buildings. They have a friendly working environment and are looking for a someone to join their personable and hard-working team.

UK Qualified ICT & Computer Science teacher

Details about the role are below:

  • UK qualifications are needed for this ICT & Computer Science teaching role (e.g. BSc, QTS, PGCE)
  • Expectation for teachers to have experience at Secondary, KS3-5 level
  • The school is rated highly by Ofsted, and the new Head teacher is being decisive in rapid improvements
  • Full-time role: 5 days a week, 8:30am - 3:30pm
  • Pay ranges from £150-200 a-day depending on experience and qualifications
  • It would be a temporary contract (2 terms - 1 year), some roles may have an option to go permanent
  • Less than a 15 minute walk from Westminster Underground

The Role

The September start date for this role has interviews for these roles starting next week and continuing into the following week. The school, set in the heart of London, is based on an old Grammar School and has the historic tradition. The core of the buildings are the traditional brick work on the Westminster area, yet the school has been modernised with new a new Arts building and facilities. The Science facilities are 'top of the range' as the school was a Science specialist Grammar school.Ofsted has rated the school as "good" and the new Head has instilled a cohesive and driven leadership, who are looking to push onto an "excellent" rating. The school is accessible via Westminster underground and is less than a 15 minute walk.

The School

The incoming teacher would be expected to work 8:30am till 3:30pm, 5 days a week as a full-time role. The school are searching for candidates who can engage the students with exciting lessons and an aim to get students interested in learning. Planning and conducting lessons would be expected, along with marking students work and providing feedback for them to build on. Experience working with SEN, languages or extra-curricular activities would be welcome.

The teaching opportunities would be a brilliant placement for any teacher with strong aspirations and who enjoys working in a close knit staffing community. As important as pay is, this school are looking for candidates who enjoy working in a friendly, hard-working atmosphere.
