History Teacher

Working in partnership with a secondary school in the HX3 are of Halifax, I am seeking to appoint a full-time Teacher of History teaching across KS3/4 from September 2021. 

This role is ideal for a fully qualified History teacher or an ambitious NQT with strong/relevant prior experience working at a school.

You will also be strongly student-focused, a forward thinker and a reflective history practitioner with a strong desire to become an integral part of a successful department. 

This role is suited to both experienced teachers and NQTs.

Requirements for the role:

-        Relevant Degree with QTS

-        DBS on the Update Service or be willing to have one.

-        The ability to confidently teach History across different Key Stages

-        Be enthusiastic and committed to inspire students in their learning

-        Be able to creatively plan and deliver engaging lessons

-        Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour

-        Be able to differentiate between ability levels and deliver teaching accordingly

-        Having an adaptable approach to work with flexible working hours

-        Work alongside a vibrant department to create excellent working relationships
