Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Corby

Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Contract: Full-time / Permanent or Fixed Term (depending on school needs)

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly and supportive team in Corby. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working with individuals, small groups, and whole classes when required.

You will work closely with teachers to plan, deliver, and assess learning activities, ensuring every child is supported to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support learning activities under the direction of the class teacher.

• Deliver planned lessons to whole classes in the teacher’s absence.

• Support pupils with varying abilities, ensuring inclusion for all.

• Provide feedback to pupils and teachers to support progress.

• Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and displays.

• Contribute to the wider life of the school community.

Experience and Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience working in a school setting is essential.

• Qualification: HLTA qualification is desirable but not essential — candidates with strong classroom experience are encouraged to apply.

• Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to build positive relationships, and a proactive, flexible approach to supporting learning.
