Teacher of History - Northumberland

Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a Northumberland school to recruit a teacher of History. The school is in east Northumberland and is easily accessible from both the A19, making travel from North Tyneside, Sunderland and South Tyneside possible

The successful applicant ‘Teacher of History” will be required to deliver lessons across the entire school from Year 7 to Year 11, with a proven track record of raising attainment and exceeding expected levels of progress. Although a History specialist will be preferred, we also accept applicants who may be specialised in other areas of Humanities but with experience of teaching History to GCSE. The ideal candidate will have:

- Qualified Teacher Status (specialising in teaching History)

- experience of delivering History lessons to GCSE

- Knowledge of current assessment practise

- drive to raise attainment and motivate others

- creativity, flexibility and resilience
