Salary: Competitive – MPS/UPS, depending on experience
About the role
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join our dedicated humanities department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and bring the past to life through engaging and thought-provoking lessons.
Role Responsibilites:

Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Develop schemes of work that align with the national curriculum and promote critical thinking and historical enquiry.

Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to support academic development.

Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
-
Contribute to the wider school community through enrichment activities or trips.

Work collaboratively with colleagues in the humanities faculty to ensure high standards and consistency in teaching.

Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and participate in professional development opportunities.
Role Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in History or a related subject.

Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for history and education.

Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
-
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
-
Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and whole-school events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
