Are you passionate about inspiring young people through the performing arts? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic Performing Arts Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Newcastle from September.
About the Role:
As a Performing Arts Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons across Drama, Music, and Dance, helping students develop confidence, creativity, and technical skills. You will contribute to the school’s thriving performing arts program, supporting both curricular and extracurricular activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality performing arts lessons tailored to secondary school students
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their potential in Drama, Music, and Dance
- Prepare students for examinations and performances
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop the curriculum and school productions
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified teacher with experience teaching Performing Arts at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge in Drama, Music, and/or Dance
- Creative, energetic, and committed to student progress and wellbeing
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities
