MFL Teacher – Spanish and French – Glossop / High Peak – September 2025

Position: MFL Teacher – Spanish and French
Location: Glossop, Derbyshire (easily commutable from Stockport or Manchester)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: MPS1–MPS6 (£32,916–£45,352) / UPS1–UPS3 (£47,472–£51,048)
Contract: Full-time, 1-year fixed term with view to permanent

A high-performing 11–16 school located in the beautiful High Peak area is seeking a dual-language MFL teacher to join their team in September. The successful candidate will teach KS3 Spanish and French and GCSE Spanish, using immersive teaching methods and cultural engagement.

The school places a high value on language learning, regularly hosting themed days (Bastille Day, Día de los Muertos), exchange programmes, and competitions.

Duties:

  • Plan engaging, accessible schemes of learning in both languages

  • Use interactive methods including music, conversation tables, and digital media

  • Prepare learners for speaking, listening, reading and writing exams (AQA spec)

  • Liaise with parents and SEN team to ensure access for all learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
