"We require a History teacher to join our thriving Humanities department for the duration of maternity leave starting on Monday 10th September 2019 at the beginning of the new academic year. This is an exciting time for our school and Humanities department as we are growing consistently and have a great worth ethic and feel within our school. Applications are being accepted and encouraged from newly qualified teachers as well as those who are more experienced. The successful History teacher will be teaching across KS3 and KS4."

Our client secondary school situated in the Tameside area is looking to recruit a motivated and confident History teacher starting at the beginning of the new academic year. This is a full time teaching position to cover a current member of the Humanities team who is due to leave for maternity over the summer break. The successful History teacher will therefore be required to take on all planning and marking responsibilities. You would be required for the Autumn, Spring and majority of the Summer term likely until the May half term.

As advised by the Head of Humanities, the school require a good teacher to join this good school and ensure learning is of the highest standard as the school starts the academic year off. The teacher of History can be a NQT, fully qualified teacher or an existing supply teacher with the ability and experience in teaching History.

Highlights of this History teaching position:

  • Pay between £500 - £825 per week dependent upon experience and pay scale
  • Work within a highly supportive Humanities department where each member of staff is a valued member of the team
  • Full time History teaching position for the duration of a maternity leave, starting September 2019
  • Work within a 'Good' secondary school in the Tameside area
  • CPD opportunities are plentiful via the Teaching Personnel Academy as well as internally with the school

The school is based in the Tameside area on the East side of Greater Manchester, very easily accessible from any of the surrounding areas such as Stalybridge, Dukinfield, Ashton-Under-Lyne and further afield. The M67 and M60 motorway networks are very nearby making this school easy to get to for any car drivers. The school has a secure on site car park and is set in pleasant surroundings.
