Support. Encourage. Transform Lives.

Looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference every single day?

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist secondary school in Middleton this September. This is an opportunity to become part of a supportive and passionate team, helping young people with complex additional needs overcome barriers, achieve meaningful progress, and develop the skills they need for the future.

Whether your experience comes from education, care, support work, youth work, or a specialist setting, if you're patient, resilient, and committed to helping others succeed, we'd love to hear from you.

Why This Role Matters

For many pupils in specialist education, success looks different for every individual.

It could be building confidence to communicate, managing emotions independently, developing daily living skills, or achieving a personal milestone that once felt out of reach.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting these achievements, providing the consistency, encouragement, and understanding that helps young people flourish both inside and outside the classroom.

Every day brings new challenges, new victories, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact.

You'll work alongside experienced teachers, therapists, and support professionals who share a common goal: helping every pupil achieve their full potential.

The Role

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will provide both 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils access learning, develop independence, regulate their emotions, and engage positively with school life.
