Classroom Support Assistant
Primary SEN School | Rochdale | Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a fantastic Primary SEN School in Rochdale to recruit a compassionate and enthusiastic Classroom Support Assistant to support pupils aged 3-11 years with a range of additional learning needs, including MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
This is more than just a classroom role. It's an opportunity to help children overcome barriers, celebrate achievements big and small, and make a genuine difference every single day.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Helping children access learning activities tailored to their individual needs.
- Building confidence, independence, and social skills.
- Supporting communication and engagement throughout the school day.
- Assisting with sensory activities and personalised learning programmes.
- Providing personal care support when required, including toileting, feeding, and changing.
- Working alongside teachers, therapists, and specialist staff to ensure every child receives the support they need.
- Creating a safe, positive, and encouraging learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
