Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Ipswich, Suffolk
Salary: £31,650.00 - £43,607.00 Annually (Actual) MPS M1-M6B
Contract Type: Full-time (Permanent)

About Our Client:
Our client, a well-established and ambitious academy in Ipswich, is seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join their Humanities department. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality History lessons across KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities to teach KS5.
- Inspire students to develop a passion for History through innovative and interactive teaching methods.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing feedback and targeted support where needed.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of teaching resources.
- Support extracurricular activities, such as History clubs, trips, and events.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Humanities department to share best practices and enhance student learning.
- Maintain high expectations for student achievement and behaviour in line with academy policies.
Requirements:
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- A degree in History or a related subject.
- Experience teaching History at secondary level, with a strong understanding of the curriculum.
- The ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and the wider academy community.
