Exciting Opportunity: History Teacher Needed in Farnborough Secondary School

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Farnborough, starting September 2024.

Key Details: Start Date: September 2024 Location: Farnborough, Hampshire ⏰ Full-Time Position Teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 Longer-term position with potential transition to temp-to-perm

What You'll Do:

  • Engage students with fascinating tales from the past, making history come alive through interactive and immersive lessons.
  • Teach a diverse range of learners at both Key Stage 3 and 4, covering a wide range of historical periods and topics.
  • Foster critical thinking and analytical skills in students, helping them understand the complexities of historical events and their impact on the world today.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the school's History curriculum, incorporating diverse perspectives and primary sources.
  • Provide support and guidance to students, helping them develop a deeper appreciation for history and prepare for exams.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Qualified History Teachers with experience teaching Key Stage 3 and/or 4.
  • ECTs qualifying this year are encouraged to apply.
  • Unqualified teachers with relevant experience or a passion for history are also welcome to apply.
  • Enthusiastic individuals with a genuine love for history and a desire to inspire the next generation of historians.
  • Strong communicators with excellent classroom management skills.
